Donut Falls

This past weekend, me and my friend Ana decided to go hike Donut Falls up in Big Cottonwood Canyon. It's a pretty short and easy hike; about 1 mile. There is a big parking lot with bathrooms and a road that leads further up the mountain. There is no sign that says Donut Falls or trail head anywhere so we weren't sure we were in the right place until we drove up a little further and asked a park ranger. We parked in the parking lot and walked for a while before we actually got to the trail head. You can park right next to the trail but parking is very limited. The actual hike to the falls was about 20 minutes. We then came to what looked like a big rock pile with little falls scattered. We wondered where the actual Donut Fall was and heard someone talking about a land slide so the fall isn't there anymore. We were super disappointed but decided to climb further up the rocks. This part was kind of sketchy and mostly in water with slippery rocks. We then came to a cave with Donut Falls! We were super excited and I didn't want to leave because of how pretty and calming it was in that cave. I highly recommend doing this hike if you are bored on a Saturday. It doesn't take a lot of effort or time and is totally worth it!
*It was super hard to get good pictures because there were so many people!
